Arapahoe is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will welcome the Cherokee Trail Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Arapahoe is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

Arapahoe took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Rampart a 2-0 shutout.

Paige Bradley and Rinnah Sivess scored both of Arapahoe's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Cherokee Trail made sure to put some goals up on the board against Prairie View on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over the Thunderhawks. The victory continues a trend for Cherokee Trail in their matchups with Prairie View: they've now won five in a row.

Arapahoe's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Cherokee Trail, their win bumped their record up to 3-1-2.

Arapahoe was able to grind out a solid victory over Cherokee Trail when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Will Arapahoe repeat their success, or does Cherokee Trail has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
