Baseball Recap: Mountain Valley Takes a Loss

Mountain Valley suffered their closest defeat since May 20, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Maranacook Black Bears by a score of 7-5. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Black Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Josh Pollis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered seven earned runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Mountain Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Warren, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Mountain Valley now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Maranacook, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Valley will challenge Traip at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons are facing the Rangers at the right time seeing as the Rangers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Maranacook, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount View at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
