Volleyball Recap: R.J. Reynolds Comes Up Short + How To Watch

R.J. Reynolds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the East Forsyth Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-6.

East Forsyth found their leader in sophomore Maddie Fendley, who had 17 assists and nine aces. Fendley has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 13 times she's played.

R.J. Reynolds' loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for East Forsyth, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. R.J. Reynolds will face off against Northwest Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Forsyth, they will take on Southwest Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
