Volleyball Recap: R.J. Reynolds Falls Despite Big Games from Na'leah Hairston and Maggie O'sullivan + How To Watch

R.J. Reynolds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the East Forsyth Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-6.

Despite the defeat, R.J. Reynolds had strong showings from Maggie O'Sullivan, who had ten digs, and Na'Leah Hairston, who had four assists and three digs.

East Forsyth found their leader in sophomore Maddie Fendley, who had 17 assists and nine aces. Fendley is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

R.J. Reynolds' loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for East Forsyth, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

R.J. Reynolds will challenge Northwest Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Forsyth, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Southwest Guilford on the 8th.
