Basketball Recap: Arrowhead Christian Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Arrowhead Christian lost against Ontario Christian on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Arrowhead Christian Eagles took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ontario Christian Knights. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ontario Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justin Avila led the charge by going 6 for 12 on his way to 19 points and seven boards. Those 19 points gave Avila a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cole Jones, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Arrowhead Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10. As for Ontario Christian, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Arrowhead Christian has already played their next match, a 48-37 loss against Linfield Christian on the 27th. As for Ontario Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Woodcrest Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ontario Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.9 points per game this season.
