Volleyball Recap: Immaculata-La Salle Victorious

Immaculata-La Salle picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Port Charlotte Pirates. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royal Lions.

Immaculata-La Salle not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Port Charlotte between 18 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19.

Mia Groom paced Immaculata-La Salle's offense, picking up seven kills. Groom got some help from Carlota Haliwa and her 11 assists. Alexandra Gonzalez controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Immaculata-La Salle's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Port Charlotte, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Immaculata-La Salle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against First Baptist Academy on the 13th. As for Port Charlotte, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Riverview Sarasota on the 13th.
