Basketball Preview: Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals vs. Bremen Braves
The Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals will head out on the road to challenge the Bremen Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blue Island Eisenhower has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,003 points over their last 14 games.
Even though College Prep of America scored an imposing 62 points on Saturday, Blue Island Eisenhower still came out on top. Blue Island Eisenhower took their matchup against the Thunder 70-62. Given Blue Island Eisenhower's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Thunder are ranked 586th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Bremen came into Friday's match having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 56-50 W over Richards on Friday.
Blue Island Eisenhower pushed their record up to 21-6 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Bremen, their victory bumped their record up to 6-20.
Blue Island Eisenhower beat the Braves 70-63 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blue Island Eisenhower since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
