Hopkinton proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Natick Redhawks 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hillers have posted since April 16th.

Hopkinton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Natick, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
