Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Glendora

Glendora waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Walnut Mustangs as they made off with a 13-6 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 on Tuesday.

Sebastian Lawrence looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tyler Obert was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Mason Danison was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Glendora's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Walnut, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-15.

Glendora will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
