Softball Game Preview: Pine View Panthers vs. Desert Hills Thunder

Pine View is 0-10 against Desert Hills since May of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Pine View Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Desert Hills Thunder at 7:00 p.m. Pine View has given up an average of 12.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

It was a proper cat-fight when Pine View took on Union on Wednesday. Pine View came up short against Union, falling 19-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pine View saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamarie Sullivan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Desert Hills). Everything went their way against Pine View on Tuesday as Desert Hills made off with a 25-1 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Desert Hills' win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-1. As for Pine View, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Pine View might still be hurting after the 25-1 defeat they got from Desert Hills when the teams last played on Tuesday. Can Pine View avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
