Basketball Recap: Thunder Basin Bolts vs. South Bison
The Thunder Basin Bolts can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against South by a score of 53-41. That's another feather in the cap for Thunder Basin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Thunder Basin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Attie Westbrook, who scored five points along with ten steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Westbrook posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Kendrick, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Thunder Basin's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for South, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11.
Thunder Basin and the Indians will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Wyoming (Central is ranked 15th, while the Bolts are ranked 25th).
