Softball Recap: Mildred's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Mildred's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with an 11-8 win over the Union Grove Lions. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

KK Jenkins was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Krislynn Owen, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Mildred's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Union Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

Mildred will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
