Basketball Recap: Prospect Ridge Academy Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Prospect Ridge Academy won the last time they faced Stargate School and things went their way on Saturday too. The Miners were the clear victors by a 54-32 margin over the Eagles. The Miners pushed the score to 49-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Prospect Ridge Academy was led to victory by Jack Brandt and Jackson Rhodes. Brandt almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds, while Rhodes went 5-for-10 en route to 16 points and seven boards. Those 16 points gave Rhodes a new career-high. Austin Huffman was another key player, putting up eight points.

Prospect Ridge Academy pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points over those games. As for Stargate School, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prospect Ridge Academy will welcome Strasburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stargate School, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Estes Park at 7:00 p.m.
