Softball Recap: Metro Tech Takes a Loss

Metro Tech lost to McClintock on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights lost 24-5 to the Chargers. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Metro Tech saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delanie Quijada, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Mariaelena Velasquez was another, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Metro Tech now has a losing record of 6-7. As for McClintock, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Metro Tech will face off against rival Carl Hayden Community at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, McClintock is set to square off against their familiar foe Alhambra at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
