Softball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton fell victim to Purnell Swett and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to the Rams. The Dark Horses just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Clinton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carmella Carlton, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Purnell Swett, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Clinton will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Duplin at 6:30 p.m. on April 14. As for Purnell Swett, they will face off against Hoke County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
