Softball Recap: South Fork Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Fork can now relate to. They fell 7-2 to the Miramonte Matadors on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Cubs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Hailey Shepherd was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

South Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Miramonte, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

South Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Miramonte, they will face off against McKinleyville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
