Baseball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Skyline challenged Ellinwood on Friday. The Thunderbirds lost 20-6 to the Eagles. The Thunderbirds just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Aaron Lucas was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Ellinwood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Skyline by a score of 31-11 later that day.
