Softball Recap: Cedarcrest Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Everett, Cedarcrest was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Sultan Turks an 11-0 shutout. The Red Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Abby Combs, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Davis, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Cedarcrest's win bumped their record up to 8-11-1. As for Sultan, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedarcrest will face off against Lynden at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sultan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Meridian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
