Soccer Recap: St. Thomas Aquinas Beats Dwyer for Their Fifth Straight Victory

With a playoff win on the line, St. Thomas Aquinas rose to the challenge on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Dwyer Panthers a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 13 games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Dwyer with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Bianca Raskin, Madison Mckeon, Camryn Smith, and Aimee Colson.

The win was the fifth in a row for St. Thomas Aquinas, bringing their record for this year to 17-1-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matchups. As for Dwyer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8-3 record this season.

Looking ahead, St. Thomas Aquinas will be playing at home against Cooper City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Thomas Aquinas' defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Cooper City's offense will have their work cut out for them. Dwyer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
