McConnellsburg won the last time they faced Mount Union and things went their way on Monday too. The Spartans put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 7-1 victory. The result was nothing new for McConnellsburg, who have now won six games by five goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Mount Union from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Hoyt Glenn led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

McConnellsburg's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Mount Union, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McConnellsburg will host Shalom Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount Union, they will face off against Rockwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
