Basketball Recap: St. Patrick Academy Takes a Loss

St. Patrick Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Achievement First Providence Falcons. The Padres were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Stephen Adedire was the offensive standout of the game as he posted 17 points. Those 17 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Malachi Stone, who put up nine points.

St. Patrick Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Achievement First Providence, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.

St. Patrick Academy will face off against Scituate at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Scituate has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 186 points over their last three matches. As for Achievement First Providence, they will take on Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
