Basketball Recap: Bullard Comes Up Short

Bullard lost against Clovis West back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bullard Knights lost to the Clovis West Golden Eagles on the road by a 62-43 margin. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Knights came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 370th).

Dj Stickman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Clovis West, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Stickman has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Jace Kellogg was another key player, going 6 for 15 on his way to 14 points.

Bullard's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Clovis West, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Bullard and Vanden will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Vanden is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.4 points per game this season. As for Clovis West, they and Buchanan will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Buchanan will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Clovis West surely won't give up without a fight.
