Softball Recap: Knox City Takes a Loss

Knox City blew Harrold out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Harrold got their revenge. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 13-11. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 19-1.

Naveah Martinez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Lerma, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

The defeat snapped Knox City's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5-1 record. As for Harrold, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Coincidentally, Knox City and Harrold will both be playing Northside the next time they take the field. The Greyhounds will host the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Hornets will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
