Hoxie is 9-1 against Manila since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will challenge the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Hoxie has given up an average of 26.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hoxie lost 43-20 to Osceola on Friday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Manila challenged Walnut Ridge on Friday. The Lions were dealt a 40-8 defeat at the hands of the Bobcats. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Manila's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hoxie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Hoxie won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, slipping by Manila 32-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
