Volleyball Recap: Chaputnguak Falls Short Against Ranked Nelson Island

Chaputnguak faced Nelson Island in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Shaman fell just short of the Islanders by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Shaman in their meetings with the Islanders: they've now lost six in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Chaputnguak sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 17-25, 25-14.

Chaputnguak's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Nelson Island, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Chaputnguak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nelson Island, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial on the 7th.
