Volleyball Recap: Oakton Comes Up Short

Oakton came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the James Madison Warhawks. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Warhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Oakton was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 20 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.

Oakton's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for James Madison, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Oakton and James Madison will both be playing Chantilly the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Warhawks will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
