Soccer Recap: Camden Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Camden was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They lost 5-1 to the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Camden couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Anna Gilsenan, which was the first she's scored this season.

Camden has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-2 record this season. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Camden will venture away from home to challenge Whitesboro at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, they will take on New Hartford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Hartford will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Vernon-Verona-Sherrill surely won't give up without a fight.
