Soccer Game Preview: Hartsville vs. Lower Richland

The Hartsville Red Foxes will face off against the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Hartsville didn't have quite enough to beat Sumter and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Lower Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Crestwood. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Lower Richland couldn't quite close it out.

Hartsville has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-4 record this season. As for Lower Richland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Hartsville took their victory against Lower Richland when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 14-0 score. Do the Red Foxes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Diamond Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
