Volleyball Game Preview: Centennial Bulldogs vs. Arbor View Aggies

The Centennial Bulldogs will face off against the Arbor View Aggies at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Centennial is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Sierra Vista, who was ranked 12th at the time (Centennial was ranked fourth). The Bulldogs came out on top against the Mountain Lions by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

The win didn't come easy: Sierra Vista scored at least 22 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 17-25, 29-27, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Arbor View had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Diamondbacks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Aggies have posted since April 5th.

Arbor View was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-21, 22-25, 25-14, 15-12.

Arbor View's win bumped their record up to 20-16. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-10 record this season.

Centennial was able to grind out a solid victory over Arbor View in their previous matchup back in April, winning 2-0. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Aggies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
