Recap: Geneva Panthers vs. Batavia Blue Devils
The Geneva Panthers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 44-6 loss at the hands of Batavia. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Geneva in their matchups with Batavia: they've now lost six in a row.
Geneva's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-0 Monroe and 7-2 Honeoye Falls-Lima (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 72.2% over those games). As for Batavia, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Geneva does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Batavia will head out on the road to face off against Honeoye Falls-Lima at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Honeoye Falls-Lima is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
