Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evansville Harrison). They were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over the Henderson County Colonels on Saturday. With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 7.8 runs per game.
Cameron Ferris was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Ortega, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Evansville Harrison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .578. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The victory got Evansville Harrison back to even at 2-2. As for Henderson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evansville Harrison will square off against Boonville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Henderson County, they will challenge Murray at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
