Vicksburg is 0-3 against Florence since March of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Gators will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Vicksburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.
Vicksburg is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Meridian on Saturday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 8-2.

Nick Carson was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Vicksburg is 9-1 when Carson posts two or more runs, but 2-8 otherwise. Ashton Harris was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Florence won against Cleveland Central on Tuesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 13-2 win. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Brayden Slawson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Slawson was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Aiden Bridges was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Beard, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and three runs.
Florence kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.
Vicksburg's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Florence, they now have a winning record of 11-10-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Vicksburg has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 9.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Florence struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
