Basketball Game Preview: Camp Verde Cowboys vs. Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes

The Camp Verde Cowboys will head out to square off against the Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Camp Verde lost to Phoenix Country Day at home by a 53-34 margin. The defeat continues a trend for the Cowboys in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite their loss, Camp Verde saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Wa'Siiva Lewis, who posted 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Clancy Murdock, who scored four points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Arizona Lutheran Academy didn't have too much trouble with Phoenix Christian on Wednesday as they won 54-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Coyotes.

Arizona Lutheran Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Camp Verde, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Camp Verde took a serious blow against Arizona Lutheran Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 58-13. Can the Cowboys avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
