Soccer Game Preview: Capuchino vs. Jefferson

The Capuchino Mustangs will challenge the Jefferson Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Capuchino managed to keep up with Half Moon Bay until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Mustangs lost 6-0 to the Cougars. Capuchino fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Half Moon Bay since Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of El Camino. While losing is never fun, Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1025th, while El Camino are ranked 273rd).

Capuchino's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-3.
