Basketball Game Preview: Dalton Catamounts vs. Rome Wolves

The Dalton Catamounts and the Rome Wolves will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Dalton has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three matches.

On Friday, everything went Dalton's way against Woodland as Dalton made off with a 63-37 win. The Catamounts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Rome has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 61-42 to Alexander.

Dalton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Rome, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.

Dalton strolled past Rome in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 59-44. Does Dalton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rome turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
