Basketball Recap: Steinbrenner's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Jefferson came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Steinbrenner, but Douglas Jordan wouldn't allow it. Everything went the Steinbrenner Warriors' way against the Jefferson Dragons on Tuesday as the Steinbrenner Warriors made off with a 65-43 victory thanks in part to Jordan, who went 10 of 19 en route to 26 points and three blocks. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games.

Jefferson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camari Bell, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 15 points. Bell's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Deion Andrew, who went 6 of 9 en route to 13 points.

Steinbrenner's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13. As for Jefferson, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-17.

Steinbrenner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-34 loss against Land O' Lakes on the 15th. As for Jefferson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 80-26 defeat against Jesuit on the 15th.
