Softball Recap: Reedy Comes Up Short

Reedy and Walnut Grove squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Reedy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in February.

Reedy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sierra Petersdorf, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Reedy's loss dropped their record down to 19-11. As for Walnut Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

While Reedy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
