After a string of five wins, West Boca Raton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Monarch Knights by a score of 3-2.

West Boca Raton actually scored more points across those five sets (104-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-16, 11-25, 18-25, 15-12.

West Boca Raton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Monarch, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

West Boca Raton will be playing in front of their home fans against Cardinal Gibbons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monarch, they will head out on the road to challenge Pembroke Pines Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
