Basketball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville lost against Schenck back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Greenville Lakers were dealt a 70-24 defeat at the hands of the Schenck Wolverines. The contest marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Greenville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Schenck, the win (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenville will face off against Piscataquis at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Schenck, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stearns at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Schenck knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Stearns likes a good challenge.
