Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson lost against Milton back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Hawks.

Ella Fetherston paced Jefferson's offense, picking up ten kills. Fetherston got some help from Finley Sikora and her 17 assists. Olivia Stelse controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Milton was led to victory by Elise Wieters and Avery Zimmerman. Wieters had six digs and two aces, while Zimmerman had nine assists and two aces. What's more, Wieters racked up six assists, the most she's had over her last seven contests.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Milton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Jefferson and Milton will both be playing Janesville Parker the next time they take the court. The Red Hawks will head out to face the Vikings at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
