Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Academy Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Hope Christian Academy challenged Parkway Christian on Tuesday. The Hope Christian Academy Hawks took a blow against the Parkway Christian Eagles, falling 53-26. The loss leaves the Hawks without a win on the season.

Parkway Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Angelina Marchesi led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 boards. Marchesi is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Tamerah Peterson, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine steals.

Hope Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Parkway Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8.

Hope Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 0-0 loss against Lutheran on the 24th. As for Parkway Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-40 victory against Novi Christian Academy on the 23rd.
