Basketball Recap: Millersport's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Millersport had lost six straight headed into Tuesday's matchup, but Alayna Wright didn't let it get to seven. The Millersport Lakers blew past the Berne Union Rockets 57-6 on Tuesday thanks in part to Wright, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Ava Blevins, who posted five points in addition to ten steals and five assists. Blevins is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Millersport's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Berne Union, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Miller the next time they take the court. Berne Union will host Miller at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Millersport will host them at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
