Centennial strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Las Cruces Bulldawgs 7-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Not much got past Destiny Perez, who gave up just three hits to keep Las Cruces off the board. Perez has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aaliyah Betancourt, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Amanda Valles was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Centennial pushed their record up to 23-0 with the victory, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Las Cruces, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.

Centennial will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldawgs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
