Softball Recap: Waccamaw Warriors vs. Conway Tigers
Waccamaw extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 5-14 in the process. They lost 13-2 to the Conway Tigers. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.
Addison Stewart was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
As for Conway, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly 11 runs.
On Conway's side, Brandy Smith was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Smith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Rabon, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Looking ahead, Waccamaw will square off against Georgetown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Conway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
