Sentinel has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hellgate recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Spartans will look to defend their home field against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Sentinel is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Sentinel is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Montana's top teams: Big Sky, who was ranked ninth at the time (Sentinel was ranked tenth). The Spartans fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The loss was just more heartbreak for the Spartans who fell 21-19 when the teams previously met back in April of 2024.

Sentinel saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kai Gillis, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that Gillis snagged this season.

Meanwhile, Hellgate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-0 to Glacier.

Sentinel's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Hellgate, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Hellgate's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sentinel has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. It's a different story for Hellgate, though, as they've only averaged .364. Will they be able to contain Sentinel's hitters?

Sentinel took their victory against Hellgate in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
