For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when McDowell and General McLane meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Lancers. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Emma Mickel and Gabriella Deluca were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Mickel tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Deluca struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.
