Baseball Recap: Mason County Central Comes Up Short

Mason County Central lost against Montague on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spartans took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mason County Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drake McKay, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Kaden Ruiz was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Mason County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Montague, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mason County Central will head out to challenge Fremont at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Montague, they will venture away from home to take on Manistee at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
