Preview: Harford Tech Cobras vs. Bel Air Bobcats
The Harford Tech Cobras will head out on the road to square off against the Bel Air Bobcats at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
On Monday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Harford Tech had to settle for a 54-51 loss against Rising Sun. Harford Tech has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Abi Marcello, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Jessica Castro was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Bel Air's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Perryville.
Harford Tech has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Bel Air, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.
Everything came up roses for Harford Tech against Bel Air when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 55-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harford Tech since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
