Potts Camp hadn't done well against Hickory Flat recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Cardinals walked away with a 9-5 win over the Rebels. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Potts Camp saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alfredo Ramirez, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances.

Potts Camp's record now sits at 8-10. As for Hickory Flat, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-19.

Looking ahead, Potts Camp will face off against Horn Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hickory Flat, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-3 loss against Independence on the 12th.
