Baseball Game Preview: Daniel Lions vs. T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets

For the second week in a row, Daniel is taking on T.L. Hanna. The Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Daniel came up short against T.L. Hanna and fell 8-3. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Yellow Jackets: they've now lost four in a row.

For T.L. Hanna's part, Will Mayfield looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Easton Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anders Epps, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

T.L. Hanna pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Daniel, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Daniel couldn't quite get it done against T.L. Hanna when the teams last played on Friday as they fell 8-3. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
